Ensure Exceptional Outdoor Activities for Our Community

Provide Services to Start-Up Green Organizations

  • Act as a fiscal sponsor/agent, offering new nonprofits the advantage of our tax-exempt status (past incubation projects include Red Bike, Outdoor Adventure Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, and Taking Root);
  • Seek collaborative funding opportunities and identification of funding sources;
  • Make meeting space, technical assistance, and expert advice available; and
  • Provide publicity through our widely distributed e-newsletter.

Support Sustainability through Collective Impact

We bring together collective impact activities focused on building a sustainable environment in our region. The Collective Impact model, which is producing remarkable results across the nation, teaches that success requires a common agenda, shared goals and metrics, mutually reinforcing activities, and a backbone organization to provide the infrastructure for collaboration. Green Umbrella is that backbone organization.
