The Mill Creek Alliance has received a grant to enhance the 5.6-acre wetland at the center of the 30-acre Twin Creeks Nature Preserve. Learn about how $2.5 million of Federal, State, and Local money were obtained by the City of Sharonville to turn vacant industrial parcels into parkland to mitigate flooding, improve water quality, and provide multiple recreational amenities for residents.

Warren High (Christopher B. Burke Engineering) and Bennett Kottler (Mill Creek Alliance ) will discuss design, funding, construction, and maintenance of restoration projects as part of a tour. The 8-year old project has won 3 regional and state awards and has aspects applicable to all communities. We welcome the participation and feedback of administrators, managers, engineers, and your landscape/maintenance teams.

This FREE event will be held entirely outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes appropriate for walking on an uneven gravel path. Participants must comply with all State of Ohio health rules for the prevention of COVID-19, including wearing masks when unable to maintain 6-feet of social distancing.

If you have any questions, please contact us at bkottler@themillcreekalliance.org or call our offices at (513) 563-8800.
