Organization: Audubon Society of Ohio
On Wednesday evening, Brian Wulker will present a Zoom meeting about eBird, which was originally scheduled as a regular monthly meeting last spring. The meeting will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. this Wednesday, December 9.
eBird is one of the largest citizen science efforts in the world and usage has exploded this year with the COVID-19 pandemic. For this zoom program, Brian Wulker will cover the basics including useful features in eBird along with going over submission guidelines. Brian also plans on going over common errors and how to submit good documentation for rarities. This program should be informative for all local eBird users (ASO members and non-members alike) and will be an opportunity to learn a bit about how the review process works. For more information about eBird or to setup an account visit the eBird web site: www.eBird.org.
Brian Wulker is a local birder who found the local birding scene through Ned Keller’s cincinnatibirds website way back when he was 11 or so. Now he works on the ecological restoration team at the Fernald Preserve, is an eBird regional editor for Ohio and Northern Kentucky, the Secretary of the Kentucky Bird Records Committee and is a member of the Ohio Bird Records Committee.
