Cost: $10 or $40 for the whole 5-part series, free for volunteers (volunteers must call to register)

Prof. Ashley Kubley will be joined by student researcher, Grace Weir, from the University of Cincinnati’s Fashion Program at DAAP (College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning) to give an overview of the tenets of sustainable fashion with a focus on the role that natural and animal fibers and agriculture play in the fashion supply chain. They will discuss problems, solutions, and actions being taken to address sustainability in fashion from fiber to finished apparel products, and will introduce several new sustainable fiber, textile, and tech innovations that are “taking root” to improve fashion.
