Organization: Cincinnati Nature Center
Preregistration required for all adult and child participants so that we can operate in small, socially distanced groups. This program is designed for families/all ages.
Program participants should meet at the Outdoor Learning Center (near Krippendorf Lodge) at our Rowe Woods location.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the maple syrup evaporator and sugaring tools like skimmers, filters and thermometers. You will be able to look inside the sap storage tanks, help set up for the day’s programs, and help prepare the materials to fire up the evaporator.
What to bring: Please bring your own masks. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for all adults and children in Kindergarten through 12th grade at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).
Members $5; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission).
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program.
