Trail Yoga

Organization: Cincinnati Nature Center

9:30 AM  –  11:00 AM

Preregistration required.  This program is geared for adults as well as children ages 13 and up with an adult.
Registered program participants should meet in front of our Rowe Woods Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location.

Connect to nature in a deeper way through the mindful movement and meditative practices found in yoga. During this on-the-trail experience, participants will be guided through a flowing sequence near water, strengthening postures using a tree, and walking meditation incorporating nature awareness. All levels are welcome.

About the Guide: Diane Utaski uses her years of experience as a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor to guide others through a gentle yoga experience that brings in elements of nature. As the founder of the first Cincinnati yoga studio, Cincinnati Yoga School and Bookstore, Diane has led many yoga classes and developed her style that focuses on the power of breathwork and mindful movement to help soothe stress.

Minimum age for children attending with an adult: Children of any age are more than welcome with the understanding that it is an ADULT yoga class, so children under 13 years of age may not be able to do everything or stay interested in the class. Adults will have to decide how much management of their children they are interested in doing.

How to dress: Participants should dress in layered, loose, comfortable athletic clothing. Jeans are NOT recommended. Hiking shoes or gym shoes are recommended.

What to bring: Guests should bring water if the day is hot and a hiking stick if you have one for fun poses (we will also have plenty of sticks in the forest to use for this purpose as well).  A yoga mat is NOT needed. Also, please bring your own mask. Cincinnati Nature Center is following the guidance of the CDC which continues to require masks for all adults and children in kindergarten through 12th grade for indoors (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc) and outdoors when one cannot consistently maintain a six-foot distance. All individuals kindergarten and up are included regardless of vaccination status.

Members $9; nonmembers $18. Online tickets purchased for nonmembers include admission.

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. Programs are rain or shine.
