Preregistration required for this program recommended for adults or children 7 and up with an adult.
Program participants meet at the white Creekside Barn at Long Branch Farm & Trails.
Enjoy exclusive access to aquatic wonders at Long Branch Farm & Trails. Search for mussels, crayfish, and snakes, net minnows, pursue green heron and kingfisher, hunt fossils, and look for signs of beaver. Don’t miss this guided, in-the-stream hike! Most water is under 24 inches deep, but there are spots that are waist deep for adults.
What should I bring? Bring old sneakers or other stream shoes that firmly attach to your feet (no Crocs, flip-flops or rubber boots), and old towels.
Unvaccinated people, including children kindergarten and up, are required to wear masks while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.). Masks are not required outdoors.
Members $5; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission).
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.
Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You will need your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.
