Join us on Thursday, August 26, for Green Drinks and an urban hike around some of Cincinnati's historic alleys and stairways!
This month, we’re partnering with Spring in Our Steps to learn about their decade-long commitment to the improvement of walkable public corridors throughout Cincinnati. We’ll explore improved public alley and hillside stairway spaces throughout Mount Auburn, Over-the-Rhine, and Clifton Heights.
We'll be departing from Northern Row Brewery & Distillery at 5 pm for the hike and will make it back to the brewery by 6 pm for drinks and networking. See you there!
** There is an outdoor space at the brewery, but we ask that you please bring a mask. We will be following guidelines around masking indoors based on the region's level of community spread. **
Green Drinks is a monthly social event that provides a great opportunity to learn more about the work of Green Umbrella's Impact Teams and Initiatives, and to network with sustainability leaders in the Greater Cincinnati region.
This event is free and open to anyone interested in sustainability.
We're super excited to be partnering with Spring in Our Steps to learn about the revitalization of Cincinnati's historic stairways and alleys. And so is Ohio University Press & Swallow Press, who has offered a discount on their book "Walking the Steps Of Cincinnati: A Guide to the Queen City’s Scenic and Historic Secrets."
The book describes and maps thirty-four walks of varying lengths and levels of difficulty around the neighborhoods of Cincinnati, following scenic or historic routes and taking in many of the city’s more than four hundred sets of steps.
